Robby played two seasons in the North American Hockey League Junior A tier 2 and in his second season for the North Iowa Outlaws of the NAHL, he led the team to their first Conference Championship by shattering every single season Outlaw goaltending record, along with breaking the league's record for Save percentage that had stood for 31 years. In 41 games Robby compiled a 28-7-4 record with 5 shutouts, with a league leading 1.91 GAA and a 94.1% save percentage. Robby was named the NAHL Player Of The Week 3 times and was voted the Outlaw's MVP as well as being named a finalist for the NAHL MVP. Previous to playing for the Outlaws, Robby played for the St Louis Junior Blues team that won the Junior B National Championship in 2006. His last two season have been with St. Lawrence University's Division 1 Ice hockey program in the ECACHL. In his rookie season at SLU, Robby compiled a 3.86 goals against average with a .889 save percentage. He went 2-1 for the season, earning his first collegiate win with a 4-3 victory at University of Massachusetts, which also earned him ECAC Rookie of the Week honors. He also recorded a win at home against Vermont, his Sophomore year he compiled 7 games played in, 3-1 record with an .888 save percentage and a 3.13 goals against average.
